Open a bakery in the village!
Bread oven, display case, baguette basket and a shop sign: set up your bakery, then bake croissants, brioches and strawberry cakes.

To open your bakery, you need a bread oven and somewhere to show off what comes out of it. The catalogue has the lot: the oven, a display case, a cake stand, a bread shelf, a baguette basket, sacks of flour and a hanging sign.

Bake your first batch
Bakery recipes are made at the bread oven. Two ears of wheat make a baguette. One ear and a little milk make two croissants. A brioche takes two ears, an egg and some milk. With one ear and some honey, out come three cookies!
The strawberry cake is the showpiece: two ears of wheat, two eggs, milk and two strawberries. It brings together the vegetable patch and the henhouse, so do a round of the farm before you start baking.
Every recipe is in the catalogue, sorted by station or by family. Search for a food to see what is missing from your bag before you head out for more eggs.
Set up the shop
Each piece has its job. You bake at the oven. The display case, the baguette basket and the shelf dress up the shop, with their loaves already laid out.
Start with the oven and the shelf against one wall. Then set the display case at a right angle to make a counter. Leave a gap behind it to reach the oven, and another in front so people can move around the shop.
Hang up the sign
A front window lets passers-by see the display case from the path. The sign fixes to the front wall, so the whole village knows where to find fresh bread. Keep the flour sacks near the oven, where they will not get in anyone’s way.
Baked more than you can eat? Bazar the snail buys your bakes: five coins for a brioche, twelve for a strawberry cake.
